Yesterday my sister and I took a book bindery class. The place is likaybindery I used to take a class at school but it was long long time ago. I thought it would be nice to refresh my memory here.^-^
PVA glue and hard brushes. The method of applying glue on thin pieces of paper
is quite tricky. Painting is not recommended as we might put too much of the
glue and the paper will get wrinkled. That’s why we used hard brushes stamping
the glue on the paper. The sound of us stamping the brushes, thump thump
thump, might make other people wonder what the hell we are doing ^-^
Book making equipment: pieces of paper, needles, colorful rubbers for
fastening the freshly-finished book to keep it tight and straight. All these
were in the nice transparent pouches for each of us at the beginning of the
class. Very cute and inviting.
It took us from 1 pm to almost 4 pm. Long hours but we didn’t feel tired
at all. It’s fun and relaxing. We measured, cut and sew while we talking
and wondering how our books would turn out.
It turned out good! Well, don’t look close though because my back cover is
a bit shorter than the front one. But we always have an excuse for the first
time, don’t we? (Oops, it’s not my first time but well…^-^’)
Today is such a beautiful day with bright blue sky and warm breeze. My mom and I just
strolling around our house for morning exercise when I saw this wooden cat. it has been staying on the garden’s table for some months and I had always thought about taking a shot of this cute little cat. I grabbed my camera and set the cat in the middle of the bright
green grass and took a picture of it. It’s funny to think of when I first saw this doll in the
shop, I thought the cat was holding an umbrella. Then with closer look, I realized that the
cat was actually catching a fish!
Such cute little thing
I hope whoever read this post have a beautiful day like I do now
I don’t like the movie that much but I do love the animation! The character is so cute
and it is such lively that it seems like the real actor (he is so unique) himself actually
performs in this animation!

I did this on artpad in art.com
without thinking of anything and even without mouse. I mean I was using
notebook so I just drew it with my finger. It’s so fun! I didn’t think
of colors just picked them randomly and made lines.
Flowers are always my instinctive subject. It’s the first thing I draw
whenever I’m beginning to draw or doodle something. I notice that when
I don’t think about what I am doing too much, the work often turns out
satisfying.
The problem is : how am I going to relax myself with the real job?

I sketched this with pencil last month but just put on ink the other day.
The kettle and teacups are put on a low table in the garden. I still
remember the moment of this drawing. I was sitting in the garden
bench with my dad. We didn’t talk much as we are both quiet people.
We just sat there listening to the wind and sound of birds chatting
over our head up on the tree.
I was doodling and since the tea set was in front of me so I just recorded
it into my sketchbook. The wind blew gently bringing the tiny leaves
down to be my setting. It’s a quiet, warmhearted moment…
